I just wanted to post this letter that I received from Todd Rokita, the Indiana Secretary of State. I points out a few “minor” details about Nancy Pelosi’s emergency recall of congressional members back to chambers to vote on a bill supposedly designed to keep teachers working.

Liberals continue to show a failure to lead

A few days ago Nancy Pelosi announced that she would be calling Congress back into session early next week for a vote on another government spending measure. This bill is a $26 billion state aid package with the intention of helping states pay teacher salaries. The bill also stipulates that states would be prohibited from reducing their education budgets (even administrative budgets) below 2009 levels and the federal money could not be used to reduce the state’s debt. This bill not only stops states from making tough budget decisions, it prohibits them from doing so.

Indiana has remained solvent and avoided debt by making tough budget decisions. We have cut back spending during these tough economic times, and we have made education spending the last to be touched. Another way to describe Indiana’s resolve, is leadership. In my office alone, we returned 11.2% of our budget to the State’s General Fund this year. And, before that, my office was already operating on a budget that was the same as it was in 1987, unadjusted for inflation!

In order to pay for this temporary spending bill, Congress will pass a $9.7 billion permanent tax increase. Supporting my campaign helps take the power away from Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama, because with the nation’s unemployment still near 10%, and the national debt skyrocketing, it is obvious that America does not need any more of the liberals’ spending agenda.

Tough decisions and leadership – Treating our fellow Americans like adults instead of pandering to their worst fears – That is what we have done in Indiana, and that is the kind of leadership I will take to Washington D.C.

This post provides a letter I wrote which appeared in the Journal Gazette on July 6, 2010. This letter concerned some claims another gentleman who wrote to the Editor had made. He blatantly stated that all Tea Party activists are racists (the article is below).

I had made a promise to myself to quit writing letters to the Editor, but there are times in life when a Conservative and proponent of individual freedom just can’t keep his mouth shut. I can hardly even believe the Journal Gazette would publish a letter this ridiculous. They obviously do not publish every letter they receive, so someone on this editorial board made a conscious decision to continue to push a progressive agenda in America and publish this factually wrong and inflammatory Saul Alinsky style letter.

Here is my letter as published in the Journal Gazette on July 6, 2010.

Republicans have solid record favoring rights for minorities

Is response to Tony Rumpel’s letter, “No sense in tea party suggestions” (June 28), I must cry foul.

Rumpel has decided to jump on the “All tea party advocates are racists” bandwagon, but as liberals often do, he has chosen to ignore some very important historical facts. Republicans have always supported equal rights for all and backed it with legislation and action throughout history. The Democrats, however, have used the minority community for years to get into office by race-baiting and name-calling, but with no action to define civil rights and bring equality to America.

Fact: The Democrats for 50 years elected Robert Byrd, a former recruiter for the Ku Klux Klan to office. Keep in mind, the KKK is not a fraternity, it is a hate group.

Fact: The Democrats, including the aforementioned Byrd, filibustered the Civil Rights act of 1964.

Fact: President George H.W. Bush signed the Civil Rights Act of 1991 to strengthen federal civil rights legislation.

Fact: President Ronald Reagan signed the 25-year extension of 1965 Voting Rights Act.

Fact: We currently have a Democratic president who spent 20 years in a church with a pastor who preaches white hate. This president has written about how the Rev. Jeremiah Wright preached about “the white man’s greed” and does not say Wright is wrong.

Fact: When the Voting Rights Act of 1965, abolishing literacy tests and other measures devised by Democrats to prevent African-Americans from voting, was signed into law; a higher percentage of Republicans than Democrats voted in favor of the bill.

As you can see from the few examples I have listed, the Republicans have an extensive history of fighting for minorities. As far as Rumpel’s claims of tea partiers calling for confiscation of private boats and taking over BP, I would recommend Rumpel to take the time to do some research as to where these statements are coming from. He obviously knows nothing about tea party advocates and what they stand for.

By the way, it was Rosie O’Donnell who cried out for BP to be taken over by the government, by far not a tea party advocate.

The racists in the so-called tea party movement showed their true colors when the disaster in the Gulf happened.

For a year and a half, tea party members have cried about big government, calling our president every name from Nazi to Communist (for their information, Nazi and Communist are at odds with each other).

I heard one of the tea party leaders say President Obama should commandeer all the boats in the Gulf area, and another one said he should take BP over. Now if these aren’t Communist ideas, then what is?

President Obama could find a cure for cancer, and these people would complain that he doesn’t care about heart disease.

Today is another great day for the protection of Americas second amendment rights. Today the Supreme Court ruled that local gun bans are illegal, and citizens themselves have the right to own guns to protect themselves.

In the day of Obama and the massive take away of individual freedoms, it is nice to see that their is a glimmer of hope to protect our personal freedoms.

This is a portion of a video where Barney Frank admits that the Democrats are using a social agenda to win more power for the Government. This is a pretty scary video when you see Frank openly admitting that the Democrats are using a social agenda to push for more Government power. You will see from the video that the purpose of pushing Environmentalism, Unions, Financial Reform, Health Care, Discrimination,etc is to seek more power for themselves.

Just a reminder, when the Government takes more power from the people, that means “the people” lose more of their freedom to make choices for themselves. I would say follow the logical conclusion of where the Government taking power from the people leads, and the outcome is never good. But logic seems to escape most Liberals, so please take a moment to follow the historical conclusion to massive Government power grabs. They all end in misery for the people and failure of entire nations.

I used to not believe in this stuff until I started seeing people like Laura Bush coming out against pro-life supporters, and in support of gay marriage. Until I saw John McCain run as the token “Republican” presidential nominee. Until I saw so called Supreme Court Justices ignore the constitution that they swore to …upheld. Until I saw Barack Obama demonize Goldman Sachs in the public, and at the same time take almost a million dollars or more from them for his campaign. Until I explored the Bilderberg Group and saw that Ben Bernanke and Timothy Geithner are both members. Until I started realizing that everyone that is associated with Barack Obama is a Communist, Marxist, Socialist, Former Terrorist, Black Theologian, or Race Baiter.

I am not sure that I believe that Americans are willing to fight for their freedom anymore, when I see so many baby boomers rolling over for Barack Obama because they are so scared that they will lose their guaranteed retirement. Well guess what baby boomers, you have already lost it, and now you are working on destroying your children’s future, and your grandchildren’s future.

Guess what baby boomers, your JFK Democrat party of the people was taken over a long time ago by One World Government, Socialist Extremists, and you have been too ignorant to notice.

“Planning supply” in health care means that the Government chooses who gets health care. When the government gets to choose, guess what. It comes down to who will vote for me, and who will pay for my re-election.

Well it looks like the United States Government, doing business as Chrysler LLC, has decided to start tracking the financial information of all suppliers to Chrysler. Now as a condition of doing business with Chrysler LLC, suppliers have to provide quarterly financial information or you will be placed on new business hold. This means that you will no longer receive new business with Chrysler LLC.

The information has to be put into a database on the Vontik.com website. It turns out that this website is owned by Grant Thornton LLP. Grant Thornton LLP provides data and tracking capabilities to the Obama administration. They provide all of the tracking services for such Government run websites as Data.gov, USASpending.gov, Recovery.gov, and the Federal IT Dashboard.

Also as a side note, and in my opinion; since the UAW is a major stake holder in Chrysler LLC, this means that now the UAW will have access to all the financial information for every supplier that it can use in union negotiations with those suppliers. Even worse, when Obama starts forcing companies to have Unions in their workplaces, through card check legislation, if the company refuses, they will be able to force their hand through Chrysler. If a supplier refuses, the Government and Unions will have all of their financial data, and can, based on that data; choose to refuse to give new contracts to suppliers based on their financial performance.

You have got to love how this administration works. They are all about control and manipulation. They will not be happy until they control everything in the United States. I would say that this all sounds like some far out conspiracy theory had it not been for the fact that Obama has already assumed control of major players in the automotive, insurance, banking, and health care industries.

Andrew Breitbart has made a challenge to anyone that can provide a video of any tea party participant yelling ni**er during the rally to stop the Health Care reform bill from passing in Washington D.C. It is funny that this challenge has been out for weeks and no one can provide a video. At a rally where every major news outlet was present, and thousands of people were carrying their own personal cameras, no one has evidence that any tea partier yelled any racial slur.

How funny that the Democrats can no longer rely on the main stream media to cover for them, because the real news outlets today are blogs, and the average person seeking the truth. Guess what libs, you can’t be a race baiter without proof anymore, and that is a good thing in modern day America. You can always beat a Liberal talking point with facts, because they always rely on emotion and lies to win votes. Maybe some people other than Conservatives are starting to realize this. I can only hope.

In the midst of all of the media propaganda about tea partiers being racists. I wanted to remind people of the history of racism and the Democrat party. I guess that the current Democrat party is starting to feel some guilt about their history and projecting that guilt onto Republicans. It was Freud that first talked about projecting feelings onto others and stated “An individual who possesses malicious characteristics, but who is unwilling to perceive himself as a protagonist, convinces himself that his opponent feels and would act the same way.” makes sense to me given the violent history of Democrats.

I guess we know why the Democrats are so adamant that Republicans are racists.
